Great downhill skiing and snowboarding is only minutes away at Burke Mountain Ski Resort in East Burke.
With the base lodge just one mile from Kingdom Ridge, you may not want to go anywhere else,
but if you are looking for a little variety, Jay Peak Ski Resort in Jay is only 50 minutes away.
Both mountains are known for an abundance of glades and lots of snow, with Jay consistently ranking #1
state-wide for most natural snowfall.
Burke Mountain is well-known for its down-to-earth atmosphere and family-friendly nature.
Burke offers amazing skiing, and is home to the oldest ski school in the country, Burke Mountain Academy.
Burke Mountain Academy has trained more than its fair share of Olympic skiers, and they all trained
on the slopes of Burke Mountain.
In 2005, Burke Mountain was purchased by the Ginn Company, which is planning million-dollar improvements in the
near future. From the Ginn Resorts website: "Burke Mountain will also be home to Ginn Bridgemor™ Resort,
a ski resort unlike any other in New England. Offering spacious villas complimented by legendary Burke skiing
and Signature golf, Ginn Bridgemor will be the premier ski resort in the Northeast."
Kingdom Ridge offers an affordable opportunity to own a condo less than one mile from this planned premier ski resort.
